Snail Mail

The Snail is a DigiStamp from the DigiShack. I coloered him with colored pencils, cut it out, rounded the corners then inked it with purple ink. The Purple paper is from TAC.

Somber lamb

It's hard coming up with unique titles for all these sheep cards for MIL.

I cut the sheep out, and ran a piece of pink card stock in my cuttlebug and ran a black ink pad over the raised swirls. The gray stripe is Creative Memories paper, mounted on Midnight blue and Black TAC printable cardstock, then adhered to White card base.

You're Sweet!

Scanner vs. Photo: Again, which is better to you? I'm trying a different background fabric for the photos.
Now for some details of this card. I took some of my cream colored cardstock and took some lime green tissue paper. I crumpled it up and used Elmer's glue to glue it down. I took a second strip of green tissue paper and did the same thing. I printed out my Sweet N Sassy skunk image and colored it with my Bic, Sharpie, Prismacolor and the sky & clouds with Copic markers. I am pretty proud of the shading I did on the skunk and the tree trunk. I also tried a new technique using the colorless blender to make the clouds. I've been reading the ilikemarkers blog and I used this image to try and put to use some of the teachings. After cutting the image out, I adhered it to a piece of Creative Memories paper to mat it. I punched a couple of slits above the image and put the ribbon thru. Then I got some alphabet stamps and stamped the words "You're Sweet" below the image. I had seen someone else's card with a skunk and similar wording (in fact I got it in a swap months ago).

Green Leaves

Simple card. I just ran a piece of card stock thru my Cuttlebug, inked the raised part (and some of the in-between space) and stuck it down on lighter green cardstock. I thought about adding a colored image (a bird seemed ok) but then it took away from the embossed image.

Tri-fold Wooly

This sheep was colored with alchol markers (some Bic/Sharpie, sky is copic, and I have just placed an order for Prismacolor markers and can't wait for them to come). I mounted Wooly on several colors of cardstock (including a free printable there in the pink). I cut a 12 inch piece of cardstock 4 1/4 inches high and folded it to make this style of card. I adhered only a part of Wooly to one side (that's the hardest part to this card, making sure not to add adhesive to the entire back side. I followed the directions on my yahoo group (I've joined a swap so there will be a few more cards like this coming up) to try them out for this card for my MIL.

Cool Blue Train

The train stamp is TAC on navy colored cardstock. I embossed with blue powder that turns white in places. The flower is a dollar find at Michael's with a Making Memories brad. The ribbon is a perfect match for the background - too bad I use it all up 'cuz I can't use it again on any other cards. :)

Patriotic Lani and Photo/Scanner comparison.

I know July 4th is already done but I have another patriotic card to show. This was a freebie from the DigiShack on Saturday(I have another print out of Patriotic Lani, but bigger). They have been colored with colored pencils. I punched the stars out with my CM punches, and used the same light blue to mount the Lani girls on. I used a blue marker to draw around the girls because it looked too plain. The sparklers was glittered with red ultrafine glitter.

The Cat's Meow

I decided to get out an older stamp for this swap (I was going to do the Hieroglyphic Horses for this swap but changed my mind at the last minute-maybe I'm missing my cat that I put to sleep last month). I stamped him in black on cream cardstock then colored him with colored pencils. It's hard to tell, but the paisleys in the background have pastel blue, pink, & orange-ish colors so I matted the cat on orange and blue paper. I used my CM punches to do the circles. The ribbon is by American Crafts that I picked up in the clearance section of my local Hobby Lobby.
