Feb. Cards Received

First a Valentine Swap Card: The first one is the largest I've every gotten in a swap. No envelope and not sure how I'll ever find a proper envelope for it so I can mail it but it sure is pretty.

These next ones are for a Snowman Swap. I hope the colors aren't as washed out as they appear on my laptop. The butterfly card above obviously isn't a snowman card but for another swap. This is suppose to be "Any Background Technique" with TAC stamps. I had to look at the card for a while to figure out what it was made of...pieces of masking tape. I had never heard of this technique before and I don't know how the color got on it. Then the POP under the stamps is just some more masking tape rolled under it.

Two more cards for Autism Awareness

This first card is in response to the Make it Monday challenge: to use floral stamps and the flower is view-able inside.. This card has an oval aperture (if I understand the meaning - I'm referring to the hole in the front) I got the flower image in a swap so I don't know the manufacturer of it.

The bottom card accidentally got a stamp pad laid on it (by a 5 yr old? or by me?) so I purposely stamped the pad on it two more times to make it look less like a mistake. Then stamped the word Enjoy in the bottom right square.

Swap Cards Jan and Feb

The green card below is for a co-worker that is pregnant and expecting in April. The card was embossed (you can almost see it - I may have to start photo-editing to make details show up better in my scans) and I used my new corner punch. The baby buggy (TAC stamp) was colored with sharpie markers and I colored the background with a copic color named Cool Shadow (I think).

The flower card above is done for an Autism fund raiser where they will sell handmade cards to raise money. (http://www.lifeonelayoutatatime.blogspot.com/) I've been working with Autistic kids in my job so I felt this was more "important" to me than cards for heroes (luckily I don't know any soldiers even though I do support their cause) or sending to a hospital in a different state. I plan to make more for them and I've pulled out some of my other cards (past creations) to send.

The snowman card below is for a Snowman Swap. I made 6 of these using my Cricut and Sure Cuts aLot program. I colored the "coal buttons and eyes". The light blue border was embossed with a cuttlebug folder then I inked the raised design with a royal blue ink. I ended up only sending 4 since that was all that signed up for the swap.
The Valentine's card above is monochromatic in pinks. Hearts were punched out using my Creative Memories punches and the solid pink heart was embossed with Fiskars embossing plate in my Cuttlebug machine. The "I adore you!", ribbon and squiggle stamps are from The Angel Company. I made 6 of these too and I can't wait to see what I get back (hopefully this week).

This card is for a new swap group I joined. You can only use TAC stamps. This is for a Swirls Stamp swap. I chose this swirl set and stapmed the butterfly on a printed purple paper (not that you can see the printing after I cut it out). I stamped the other stamp in red on light green paper (looks yellow on my computer but it's spring-y) and attached the butterfly only under the body so it pops up a little. I only had to make 4 and I'll be interested in seeing what comes in later (swap hasn't closed yet).
This card is also for the TAC swap group - any background technique. I again used my Cuttlebug to emboss the yellow card, and the stamp used is of course TAC (that's the point of the group after all ;) ). The flower is a large brad from the Oriental Trading Company and I used another new-to-me corner punch (Stamping Up - Ticket) that I've been seeing on lots of other blogs so I, of course, had to have it too.

Well, that's all for today. I'm cutting out a bunch of new stamps so hopefully I'll have some new cards to show. I'm also already working Teacher Appreciation gifts for my kids (6 teachers this year so I want to be sure I'm ready - they really deserve it this year for my troublesome duo).
