Sewn Together Challenge #6

It's a New Technique Challenge #6 at Sewn Together. I chose to try the Tri-Shutter Card. I've seen so many neat ones out there that I've been wanting to do one too. I used Studio HG's Girlfriends paper pack for the background. I also chose Miki with a (party) balloon and colored him with Prisma markers.

Thanks for looking and be sure to check out my other Sewn Together team members' creations.

SSDS Challenge: Follow the Sketch

Today, we had to follow the sketch over at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle. The sketch lent itself nicely to using scraps and that's exactly what I did. The bear image I forgot where I got it but he is colored with Prismamarkers and I used some studio G glitter gel to his music.

Sewn Together Challenge #5

This week our challenge was to use any donkey image that we liked. I went for donkey with the bandana. He was colored with my PrismaMarkers. I did use dark colors, but they are too dark in this photo. The sparkliy bits at the bottom say Happy Birthday but again, not showing up well. I hope you enjoy what you can see of this card. I like the card, but I'm not too happy with the photo.

Thank you for looking

SSDS Challenge: Inspiring Color Challenge

It's time for another SSDS challenge and today we had a photo to use. See the SSDS Challenge blog for the photo as well as the other DTs creations. I colored this image from DULEMBA. I loosely based my card on sk082209 from PaperCraftPlanet. I used my cuttlebug and the spiderweb folder on the orange card stock and sanded it a little to help the webbing show up better. The flowers are Primas, while the brad is a Making Memories Hul-la-ba-loo and the ribbon is an Adhesive backed ribbon from Darice.

Thanks for looking,

Sewn Together Challenge #4

This week's challenge is to make a card based on this sketch.
I chose Tayla again and colored her with colored pencils. I used some ribbon and flowers that I got from Oriental Trading Company. The paper is from DCWV Fun in the Summer Sun pack.

Don't forget to look at the Freebie Friday and join us on the PaperCraftPlanet for more freebies.

Thanks for looking at my card and please see everyone's creations.

SSDS Challenge: Recipe day

I am late getting this posted. I got the card made, but (as you could tell from my last post, my carpet got soaked from a backed up drain for the water softener so my room is a shambles right now) couldn't find time to post. Well, I guess it's better late than never, right? The challenge is to use one digi image (I used one of Recese's Designs), 3 designer papers (all by Creative Memories), 1 ribbon/lace (I found a small piece in my sewing stash that was just about the right size). I followed a SplitCoastStampers sketch SC242.

Thanks for looking and be sure to participate in the challenge over at SSDS.

Sewn Together Challenge #3

This has been one of those bad kind of weeks. About one in five kids are dropping like flies to the flu at my school but thankfully I'm avoiding them. Then because I was busy with a minor flood in my craft room (there is a leak in the garage somehow and it came in to my room [my carpet is still wet right now]), I forgot I had a Sewn Together Challenge to get out. The Challenge is Christmas. It's too early for me to think about Christmas but I did get one card or maybe a scrapbook journal block made for it. I colored Miki with my Bic markers and used a blob of glitter paint for his hat. I'm trying something new with my photos so we'll see how this looks for a while.

Be sure to check out my fellow Design Team members and thanks for looking at mine.
