Happy Lamb and Birthday Cupcake

I followed the sketch at Little Paper Shop (new to me blog that I think I'll try looking at more often since I like their sketches). I used TAC printable (the purple) and Lindsay's card kit (the red). I seem to have made the rectangles and oval a bit bigger than the sketch because there wasn't much room left for the 6 dots (3 per side). I used my trusty glue and multi-colored glitter to create the dots.For this lovely card, I followed the sketch over at Lili of the Valley (my birth flower's name). I think I did a better job guessing the sizes of the shapes, but I didn't have flowers as tiny as the sketch seemed to ask for or else my circle is bigger than the sketch's. I printed the cupcake from Lindsay's stamps and colored it with my colored pencils then cut it out. I glittered the icing with clear glitter and the sprinkles with pink glitter. After it was dry, I adhered it to lilac cardstock that I cut into a circle with my CM cutting system. The 2" x 1 3/4" rectangles are a printable freebie I pick up somewhere last year. I inked the edges of the rectangles and the circle with purple and attached them to gray cardstock (I don't have card sized purple cardstock - guess I know what I can buy now ). I glued purple flowers and pink strips in the right spots and wrote Happy Birthday with purple marker on the pink strips. As a final touch, I added a dot of silver paint to the center of each flower. It's now ready to go to my MIL for her Birthday.

Baby shower card

My cousin is having a baby (2nd one but it's been a while since the last one and I guess she didn't keep any previous baby stuff so there's a bay shower planned for her). I made this card for her but I don't know yet what I'm going to give her. I don't even know if it's a boy or girl so I made sure the card wasn't too frilly. I think I did a slightly better job of the glitter border (bottom edge and bottom right corner is a bit wobbly). The ribbon at the top is using the two-hole punch that I bought like a year ago and never used but I've been watching a bunch of you-tube videos and was reminded of this gadget when I saw a how-to with ribbon. I used a punch out that I never used on my scrapbooks (my babies are grown up past this stage) so I thought I would used it on a card rather than toss it out. The orange baby hands and feet were created with my cuttlebug and a fiskars embossing plate.

Yellow/Red Challenge - Summer card

On one of my card making yahoo groups (which I need to update my list on the side) there is today's challenge to use Red and Yellow on a card. I pulled out this yellow daisy I had colored, put it on the red cardstock (TAC print-you might even see the copyright in the corner), used a fancy corner rounder, added the thin line of glue and glitter, tied a ribbon that I got from my friend Lisa and attached it to yellow cardstock.

Cream cardstock stamped in blue with a $1 stamp from JoAnns and colored in with colored pencils. Blue marker to create the border around the images. Red Background cardstock is the TAC printable. Light Blue cardstock for base and I continued the faux stitching/dots around the edge in light blue marker.

Olive the cat with flowers

Well lets see, where to begin...I got this digi-stamp of Olive from DigiStamp Boutique and colored her with colored pencils. I tried to make her look like a yellow tabby but not sure I got that done well. I used my Creative memories corner rounder, and mounted it on lavender cardstock(edges inked in purple). I used a scrap of the white with flowers and a circle I had cut from the pink floral (cut in half) and inked the edges in purple. I added it all to a piece of Medium Glorious Green cardstock (slightly short on top so the image sticks out).

It was a really easy sketch. I just cut some Medium Glorious Green cardstock that I got from Hobby Lobby then ran it thru my cuttlebug then stuck it down on light blue cardstock. I cut the sheep image into an oval, cut a larger oval from Hershey's printable paper (yes, that's the chocolate people) to mat the sheep on and stuck them down too.

simple 4th of July card and Calendar page

Here's what I made with this sketch - a Fourth of July Card. I changed the circle to an oval to fit my color pencil image. And since I used a ribbon that I got at Target, the horizontal element lost some width (wish it was that easy for me to lose width - LOL) The red background is from Lindsay's digital stuff (http://www.shophandmade.com/Store/Lindsay). I used Elegant Black and White kit but printed it on red so I guess that makes it Elegant Red and Black. :) I then mounted it all on light blue cardstock. EDITED to add: I used gold paint for the sparks on the firecrackers.
This calendar page is accompanying it. I'm still using the same green/magenta/ etc papers but I'm using Red/White/Blue accents and the same ribbon on the card.
